So much enjoyed the zoom meeting last night. Thanks especially to Jemar's suggestion that when attending a No Kings Day protest that we should go as a "gray man." Wonderful suggestion.
Thank you all! I resonate with Kristin's tribute to her friend Jennifer. I left a local megachurch when the leadership handled a scandal with our pastor in less than a respectful manner to the victims. I resonate with Jemar about the frustration of pastors currently not wanting to boldly stand against what is happening right now. And finally, I resonate with Robbie about having to step back at times. My FOUR words for 2025 are CALM CENTER SACRED DANCE. I knew going in that I had to work to stay at peace with the Lord in my innermost soul (CALM CENTER), but that the national challenge was going to require a SACRED DANCE balancing moving inward for peace and outward for engagement. Jesus got that balance right. He is my Example. I was a part of a NO KINGS protest yesterday - encouraged me to the MAX! Hoping that the HUGE national stand against fascism is an encouragement to all four of you! We The People are stronger than what is coming at us!
Appreciate the points of view and knowledge that so few support T*, so few actually voted him in. Love Jamar’s closing remarks & appreciate the reading recommendations, I have added those titles to my library wish list, which I titled “Hope.” And thanks for the notes on what we can do to be prepared!!
I cannot help but agree with everyone's comments here about yesterday's show. It pained me to watch Kristen talk about the untimely death of Jennifer and I wanted to reach through the screen and just hug her. The somber and sobering tones of yesterday's show were so palpable, there was great comfort knowing we were all held in a safe space. Thank you all for providing that for us.
Thanks to each of you. I am so glad I watched through the end because Jemar's closing exhortation was both inspiring and calming for me.
Jamar!! Thank you especially for your closing remarks.
