Courts of law are also "sensitive locations" because potential witnesses need to feel free to come in and testify.

Diana's comments about the violent theology of Christian nationalists reminds me of the late Walter Wink's myth of redemptive violence, which he claimed was the true religion of America.

“Struggling to remain white” is such an apt description of the current American regime. And prioritizing that struggle above other values like the law and the Constitution and basic human decency.

What continues to come to my mind as a white woman is instead of rising up in fear that demographics have changed in America… instead our response is to grieve a loss, and even begin to admit the wrongs that our white patriarchal government has does atrocities in the past to people of colors.. and begin to repair and make wrongs right ( if this is possible). Song Chan Rah first introduced this to me in regards to the need for perpetrators trauma to be healed.

Robby, you're the pollster. What are the non-MAGA Republicans thinking about these initial anti-democratic decrees? Have things gotten outrageous enough to any of them that they are beginning to have second thoughts about their vote? Even a little chink would be a start to build on. Concentrate pushback there.

It's probably too early to know. But we're doing a national survey at the 100-day mark and that should tell us something. But there are fewer and fewer non-MAGA Republicans out there.....

We're not set up for that, but it's such a lovely thought. I'll keep my eyes out for options--It may impact as many as 1/3 of the workforce in parts of DC, so I'm guessing something will get setup.
